Job summary

Rythm Health is seeking a Laboratory Associate (2nd Shift) to support daily operations in a regulated clinical laboratory. The role involves data entry, specimen accessioning, and processing in line with established procedures.

You will work on a 2nd shift schedule with typical hours from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and adapt to operational needs as required. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or medical laboratory science, and is comfortable with LIS, laboratory

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, chemistry, medical laboratory science, or related field.
• Comfort with LIS software, clinical lab equipment, and general computer software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills needed for accurate data handling.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently in a regulated lab environment.
• Willingness to work in a laboratory setting handling blood specimens.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accession specimens, track them in the LIS.
• Verify specimen labeling, integrity, and documentation.
• Aliquot and prepare blood samples per SOPs.
• Enter, review, and maintain electronic lab records.
• Adhere to CLIA/CAP SOPs and safety requirements.
• Keep a clean, compliant lab workspace.
• Communicate specimen status and raise issues to Lab Supervisor.
• Support additional lab tasks to meet operational needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Rythm Health is seeking a Laboratory Associate (2nd Shift) to support day-to-day laboratory operations. The required work schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment. This role involves data entry, sample accessioning, and processing in accordance with established procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Accurately receive, accession, and track incoming specimens using laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Verify specimen integrity, labeling accuracy, and documentation compliance.
• Aliquot and prepare blood samples according to established protocols.
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate electronic laboratory records.
• Adhere to CLIA/CAP-compliant SOPs, laboratory safety requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace.
• Communicate specimen status and promptly elevate issues to the Lab Supervisor.
• Support additional laboratory tasks as needed to meet operational demands.
• *Work Schedule: 2nd shift required. Typical hours: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, with flexibility based on operational needs.
