Job summary

Rythm Health seeks a Laboratory Associate on the 2nd shift to support day-to-day lab operations, including data entry, accessioning, and processing in a regulated environment.

The candidate should have a biology/chemistry-related degree, comfort with LIS and lab equipment, and strong attention to detail. The role offers a flexible, remote-friendly environment and meaningful equity stake.

Qualifications

• What candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, chemistry, medical laboratory science, or a related field.
• Comfortable using LIS and clinical lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to handle blood specimens in a laboratory setting.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, accession, and track incoming specimens using laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Verify specimen integrity, labeling accuracy, and documentation compliance.
• Aliquot and prepare blood samples according to established protocols.
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate electronic laboratory records.
• Adhere to CLIA/CAP-compliant SOPs, laboratory safety requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace.
• Communicate specimen status and promptly escalated issues to the Lab Supervisor.
• Support additional laboratory tasks as needed to meet operational demands.
• Work Schedule: 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM with flexibility based on needs.
