Job summary

Labcorp in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. Monday - Friday (8am-4:30pm) with every third weekend.

You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare samples for testing, and assist with data entry and record logs, supporting safe, accurate testing in a fast-paced environment. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma; preferred candidates have 3 months of specimen processing or medical/lab experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
