Job summary

Labcorp in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Lab Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm. You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens and prepare them for testing in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and may have 3 months or more of specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• Preferred: 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
• Additional job standards include ability to pass a color blindness test and work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties.
• Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality.
