A leading healthcare provider is seeking a qualified individual for a phlebotomy role in Georgia. This position involves sample processing, venipunctures, and assisting technical staff in non-clinical tasks. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferred certifications in phlebotomy, along with a basic understanding of clinical laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs and in healthcare or clinical laboratory settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests.
• Obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA 88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

High School graduate or GED

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
