Responsibilities

• Represents the laboratory professionally and supports mission and values.
• Verifies accuracy of patient and specimen information.
• Examiners specimens for adequacy and appropriateness.
• Labels specimens and prepares aliquots with correct patient identification.
• Receives and processes specimens to meet turn-around-time goals.
• Assists with specimen requirements, stability, and test turnaround times.
• Assists with phlebotomy as needed.
• Assists with send-out specimen processing.
• Supports point-of-care team as needed.
• Maintains clean working environment and sanitizes equipment.
