Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a laboratory technician to join our team. You will perform routine collection procedures, assist technologists, process specimens, and coordinate clerical duties across the lab and hospital.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accurate communication, and adherence to safety and terminology standards, with opportunities for growth within a large network across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medical Terminology.
• Computer experience to include Windows Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology.
• Processes laboratory specimens.
• Coordinates and performs clerical/reception, client/patient/customer related duties pertaining to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.
