Job summary

Providence Swedish in Edmonds is seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomy Support to represent the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting staff with receiving, accessioning and processing specimens according to procedures.

You will follow established departmental policies and safety standards to ensure accreditation and licensing compliance, supporting a culture of patient-centered care and teamwork within our lab services.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED; successful completion of a phlebotomy program through post-secondary school, college or military program.
• Upon Hire: Washington MA Phlebotomist Certification or Washington MA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures.
• Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infectious control standards to maintain accreditation and licensing.
