Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital is seeking a technically skilled phlebotomy technician to perform routine specimen registration and billing, venipuncture, receipt and distribution of lab specimens, and waived testing under supervision.

You'll assist in Microbiology processing, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff to ensure timely and accurate lab services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of laboratory experience or formal phlebotomy training.
• Basic laboratory computer/LIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register specimens and handle associated billing tasks.
• Perform venipuncture and receive/distribute specimens.
• Carry out phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Assist waived testing and Microbiology processing as requested.
