Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist - Mary Immaculate Hospital

Position Details

Hours: Full-time, 2nd shift, afternoons & evenings

Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs specimen collection procedures
  • Processes and sends out specimens and body fluids
  • Enters orders and performs accessioning, centrifuging, and aliquoting of samples
  • Generates reports and registers patients
  • Provides basic customer service and maintains inventory levels
  • When in Microbiology, sets up cultures and performs gram stain preparation; may perform phlebotomy duties as needed
Qualifications
  • High School/GED (required)
  • Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
  • 1 year phlebotomy experience (preferred)
  • Basic phlebotomy training (preferred)
