Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Lab Assistant to help collect and coordinate patient samples for laboratory testing, including venous blood, capillary blood, urine, and swabs. You will perform simple non-technical lab tasks, maintain records on basic instruments, and assist with clerical duties such as patient registration, test ordering, result correlation, and drug screen collection.

A valid Ohio driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.
• Prior lab experience preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English, additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and coordinate patient samples (venous blood, capillary blood, urine, throat and nasopharyngeal swabs).
• Perform simple, non-technical lab tasks and maintain records of basic instruments (centrifuges, dishwashers).
• Handle clerical duties: patient registration, test ordering, result correlation, distribution, filing, and drug screens collection.
• Serve as back-up for Lab Courier Service.
