Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Lab Assistant to support pathology services in a clinical setting. You will prepare solutions, label specimens, and collect samples under supervision, while performing routine lab tasks and assisting pathologists as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, with phlebotomy training preferred and prior lab exposure. Candidates should be able to draw blood within six weeks and maintain lab equipment as part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy program preferred.
• Ability to complete blood draws within six weeks of hire.
• Six months of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare solutions and label tubes and specimen containers.
• Collect specimens and perform simple tests under supervision.
• Operate simple lab equipment under supervision.
• Process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens.
• Obtain blood specimens for all age groups served.
• Assist pathologists as needed and maintain equipment.
