Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a phlebotomist/laboratory assistant to perform specimen collection, processing, and testing under supervision in a Downey area hospital environment.

Ideal candidates hold California Phlebotomy Certification and have blood collection experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in a hospital setting is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Current California Phlebotomy Certification meeting California Business and Profession Codes.
• Experience in obtaining blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture methods.
• Experience with computer data entry.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing under supervision of a Licensed CLS.
