Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS validation through AHA within 90 days.
• Preferred: Lab Assistant or Phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Process, organize and move samples for testing including packaging for send-out tests.
• Perform venous and capillary punctures on all age groups following procedures.
• Perform CLIA waived and moderately complex testing and evaluate results under direction.
• Maintain inventory, stock supplies and keep accurate records.

As a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries.

Every day you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and maintain an eager commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Process, organize, and quickly move samples for testing; handle all lab send-out testing including packaging.
• Perform venous and capillary punctures on all age groups, following collection procedures.
• Perform CLIA waived and moderately complex testing, evaluating results under direction.
• Perform routine maintenance, monitor inventory, stock supplies, and manage records.

Job Requirements

• Six (6) months acute care experience

Pay Range

$19.87 - $28.06 /hour
