Job summary

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine technical and clerical functions, including venipuncture, specimen receipt, and distribution of laboratory specimens in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires phlebotomy training or experience, a high school diploma, and certification where required by state law; preferred candidates may have an associate degree and national certification. Training and support are offered within Tenet Healthcare's network.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1 year of laboratory experience or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program.
• Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy certification where State law requires.
• Preferred: Associate degree in the laboratory or medical-related field.
• Preferred: National phlebotomy certification (ASCP/ANP/ASPT or similar).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine technical and clerical functions to include specimen registration and billing.
• Performs specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Will perform CLIA waived laboratory tests as requested.
• Will assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
