Job Summary
Under the general direction of Laboratory Manager, performs clerical functions, specimen collection, specimen processing, and EKG procedures. Lab Assistant II performs the duties of a Phlebotomists and performs waived testing and Quality Control.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Completion of a phlebotomy course or an accredited medical assistant course; or
- 6 months laboratory experience and certification as a Health Care Assistant.
- Training in proper phlebotomy techniques required.
- Training and/or experience in clinical laboratory preferred.
Licensure & Certifications Requirements
- Requires Washington State DOH Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential within 6 months of hire.
- Certification in phlebotomy skills preferred
Wage:$18.60 to $28.10
