Description

The Orthopedic Surgery Department
is seeking to hire a full-time Lab Assistant II to join the Soragni Laboratory.
Primary duties include:

• Developing,
  growing, and screening organoid cultures


• Processing
  specimens for cell culture


• Performing
  2D/3D cell culture


• Developing
  assays


• Performing
  immunohistochemistry and other basic cancer cell biology techniques


• Maintaining
  lab database


• Maintaining
  department lab and inventory

Salary range: 22.02/hr - $25.90/hr

Qualifications

• Bachelors
  degree in biology or other related field (preferred)


• Previous
  laboratory experience


• Previous
  experience working with tumor organoids


• Skill
  in writing concise lab notes and protocols


• Knowledge
  of mammalian tissue culture


• Ability
  to perform data entry


• Interpersonal
  skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, and students


• Ability
  to walk distances up to 1/3 mile.
