A Brief Overview
Assists laboratory staff in routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs phlebotomy on adults and children (venipuncture, finger and heel stick), handles all specimen processing, instructs patients on specimen collection, distributes lab reports, processes lab charges, handles telephone calls, and performs clerical duties as needed. In addition to the above: logs in and processes urine samples, CBC's, Sedrates, Rapid Streps, and serology specimens (with supervision); plates bacteriology cultures; keeps inventory and orders supplies as needed; trains new laboratory assistants.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $24.30 - $30.99 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
