Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Phlebotomist to support the laboratory and patient services at the St. Peters location.

You will perform phlebotomy, process specimens, prepare samples for reference labs, and register patients while following safety policies and using the Laboratory information system.

This role values teamwork, accuracy, and a patient-centered approach, contributing to our mission of quality care and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing
• Knowledge of lab safety and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and process patient specimens
• Register patients and operate the Laboratory information system
• Prepare specimens to be sent to reference laboratories
• Maintain department inventory and operate equipment
• Carry out various clerical duties and adhere to safety policies
• Promote teamwork and support the healthcare team

Position Summary: (St. Peters, MO location)

Performs phlebotomy, processes patient specimens and performs patient registration. Utilizes Laboratory computer system. Prepares specimens to be sent to reference laboratories. Maintains department inventory and operates and maintains equipment. Performs various clerical duties. Adheres to patient identification, laboratory safety, and department policies and procedures. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
