Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown in Columbus, Georgia is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our clinical team. You will perform sample collection, processing, and specimen preparation while upholding safety and quality standards.

Education: high school diploma or GED required; no prior experience needed. Phlebotomy certification is preferred. Work with a collaborative team to support patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA ?88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
