Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown seeks a skilled Phlebotomist to perform sample processing, venipuncture, and blood specimen preparation in a compliant clinical lab environment. You will support technical staff and help ensure accurate testing workflows.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with preferred phlebotomy certification and knowledge of lab processes; EKG experience is a plus, supporting patient care across the Piedmont healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA) and other applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
