Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a coordinator under the Laboratory Manager to handle clerical and nursing home functions, including scheduling, collecting, offsite staff, registration, order entry, printing, charting, mailing, faxing and filing reports.

You will ensure accurate charges, run billing, conduct competency testing, update procedures, train clerical staff, and ensure charts reach the coder promptly while reviewing nursing home bills for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience: 2 years clerical experience after 1 to 2 months on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clerical and nursing home functions including scheduling, collection, and offsite staffing coordination.
• Assure accurate charges and billing information; review nursing home bills for accuracy; train clerical staff and ensure timely chart submission to coder.
