Job summary

Medhavi Skills University in India is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist in the Medical Laboratory Technology laboratories, support faculty and students during practical sessions, and help maintain equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate preparation of reagents, and meticulous documentation, with opportunities to contribute to a growing national skills and university platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution.
• Certification in Laboratory Safety or Quality Management.
• Training in laboratory instrumentation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of NABL/ISO laboratory standards.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, diagnostic centre, hospital, or academic laboratory. Fresh candidates with strong practical skills may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty during practical and laboratory sessions.
• Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, specimens, and equipment for practical classes.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of laboratories.
• Maintain stock registers, consumables, and inventory records.
• Support clinical skill training, workshops, and demonstrations.
• Assist in laboratory documentation and record keeping.
• Ensure compliance with biosafety and waste disposal protocols.

Role Overview
