Job summary

CentraCare Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support clinical laboratory operations in the Big Lake clinic. The role will involve collecting blood samples, interacting with patients to build trust, and assisting with low complexity testing and culture setup. There may be travel to Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, and Saint Joseph locations.

The position is full- or part-time with daytime shifts, no weekends or holidays, and a starting hourly rate with room to grow based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prefer graduate from or in the process of pursuing a phlebotomy certificate from an accredited laboratory program or medical-related program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Our Lab Assistant is a support position in the laboratory setting. Students, individuals with patient care background and others with some lab experience would be a great match for this role! This position primarily will work at the Big Lake Clinic but may travel to other clinic locations including Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, and Saint Joseph.

What you’ll do:

• Collect blood samples from the patient
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients
• Perform low complexity testing and culture set-up

Schedule:

• Full-time or part-time | 72-80 hours every two weeks
• Day Shift | Monday - Friday | Shifts 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, or 8:30am-5:30pm
• No weekends or holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $20.47 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range:$19.15 - $29.28 per hour
