CentraCare Health in Big Lake, MN is hiring a Lab Assistant to join our community clinic network. The role involves collecting blood samples, performing low complexity testing, and setting up cultures while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position works primarily at the Big Lake Clinic with potential travel to Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, and Saint Joseph. Full- or part-time schedules available; shifts typically 7am–4pm or 8am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certificate from an accredited program preferred or in progress.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Our Lab Assistant is a support position in the laboratory setting. Students, individuals with patient care background and others with some lab experience would be a great match for this role! This position primarily will work at the Big Lake Clinic but may travel to other clinic locations including Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, and Saint Joseph.

What you’ll do

• Collect blood samples from the patient
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients
• Perform low complexity testing and culture set-up

Schedule

• Full-time or part-time | 72-80 hours every two weeks
• Day Shift | Monday - Friday | Shifts 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, or 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $20.47 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range:$19.15 - $29.28 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer graduate from or in the process of pursing a phlebotomy certificate from an accredited laboratory program or medical -related program
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills
