Job summary

Trident Care in Carrollton, TX is seeking a laboratory support person for the Afternoon–Evening shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.). Pay starts at $20/hr and varies with experience.

Responsibilities include assisting in analytical automated laboratory testing and following strict aseptic procedures to handle potentially infectious materials. The role involves preparing bar coded specimens for Chemistry, Hematology and Urine Analyzers, assisting the CLS in operation of the analyzers,

Qualifications

• Follows procedures for handling potentially infectious materials.
• Follows strict procedures of asepsis and antisepsis in the performance of duties.
• Logging specimens received in the laboratory by checking the type of specimen(s) received versus the test(s) ordered.
• Set up primary Bacteriological cultures.
