Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking phlebotomists in Atlanta, GA, for both full-time and part-time roles. Responsibilities include performing sample processing and venipunctures, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and assisting clinical staff. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, with phlebotomy certification preferred, and must have a foundational understanding of lab processes.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy is preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing, exempt screening, and monitoring tests per regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Skills

Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy

Full-time and Part-time schedules available on all shifts.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

High School graduate or GED

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
