The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana! Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the laboratories perform more than 19 million tests a year. In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
SHIFT: Full-Time, Evenings
HOURS: 12pm-830pm M-F rotating weekends and Holidays.
The Laboratory Assistant I, Specimen Processor, Provides general laboratory services including specimen receipt, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks such as entering orders into the system, confirming validity of each specimen, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The ideal incumbent focuses on attention to detail, has strong organizational skills, and has basic computer skills.
