The Laboratory Research Specialist Animal performs advanced research, designs studies, conducts experiments, analyzes data, and mentors staff and students in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, agriculture, veterinary science, biochemistry, chemistry, or related animal science field.
• 3 years of experience with animals in a research lab or animal hospital preferred, with 2 years in rodent/multi-species procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute research studies and analyze data; provide advanced technical expertise.
• Perform lab procedures and animal care per protocol; assist in experiments and training.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation, reports, and presentations; maintain equipment and records.
• Support lab operations, budgeting, safety, and policy development; supervise staff as needed.
• Train students and junior personnel in laboratory techniques; participate in publications.
