Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ALAT certification preferred.
• 6 months of relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory animal care, safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily animal health and welfare and performs health observations.
• Performs daily health checks, provides food and water, and changes cages as needed.
• Maintains records of duties and reports abnormalities.
• Cleans and sanitizes animal facilities and equipment and manages waste.
• Operates equipment for husbandry tasks and reports malfunctions.
• Adheres to safety, environmental and infection control guidelines.
