ALAT certification required; substitutions: 2-year degree in animal/biological sciences may substitute for ALAT.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintenance of animal quarters; rotate cages and racks; disinfect and sweep areas.
Provide routine care of research animals: feed, water, bedding, enrichment; monitor health and report issues.
Monitor environmental conditions: temperature, ventilation and lighting; adjust as needed.
Maintain logs and records of room activities; ensure timely data communication to staff.
Monitor and restock supplies; inform supervisor of shortages and restock as required.
Assist with relocation of facility equipment and supplies; transport as needed.
Assist in regulatory compliance and enrichment program documentation for lab animals.
Approved drivers may operate the supply van or other vehicle as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
