Actalent is seeking a Lab Analyst to join a dynamic production-focused lab in New Orleans, LA. You will prepare samples, run routine tests, and support IC/LC methods while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

You will operate and troubleshoot instruments, document results in LIMS, and collaborate across multiple lab groups to develop techniques and improve workflows. This entry-to-mid level role offers hands-on growth toward advanced scientific expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production-oriented laboratory environment or strong interest in production lab work.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound judgments in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with LIMS for data entry and sample tracking or ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across lab groups.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation of procedures and results.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret test data and identify issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reporting findings.
• Proactive, independent problem solver with initiative.
• Respectful, professional team player with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation and routine bench testing using spectrophotometry, conductivity, fluoride ISE, and automated titrations.
• Prepare samples for IC and LC analyses per established methods.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Record and report test results clearly and accurately in LIMS.
• Follow QC procedures and monitor control samples to meet quality standards.
• Meet turnaround time targets by prioritizing workload.
• Communicate findings and issues to team members promptly.
• Collaborate across lab groups and participate in cross-training.
