Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Greenville, NC.
Responsibilities
- Perform analyses including instrumental and automated methods utilizing prescribed procedures and techniques.
- Maintain well-documented laboratory notebooks and records.
- Perform calculations to convert laboratory data into a reportable form.
- Report results on the appropriate database (SAP).
- Interpret test results.
- Develop methods for GC-FID, GC-MS, and any other instruments as required.
- Clean glassware and maintain a clean environment.
- Restock chemicals from the stock room.
- Check inventory of R&D samples and dispose of them accordingly.
- Assist the QA department with investigations and closure of CAPA.
- Create SDS sheets.
- Assist in tobacco extraction production.
- Prepare R&D samples and send them to the customers.
- Ensure safety, housekeeping, and compliance issues are maintained.
- Work in a safe and responsible manner to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace.
- Comply with all job-related safety and other training requirements.
- May be asked to perform other duties if necessary.
- Assist the lab manager in the completion of the projects.
- Assist in maintaining Environmental Compliance throughout the plant.
- Oversee and assist Lab Analysts I and II in their duties.

Hours: 40 hours/week
Length: Contract-Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25.00/hour

Job Requirements
Required skills:
- Associate's Degree in Physical or Biological Science
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a laboratory
Preferred skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science
- Broad knowledge of analytical and chemical techniques.
- Strong knowledge of GC-FID and GC-MS instruments.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others to achieve team goals and expectations.
- Interest in researching and implementing new approaches in analysis.
- Ensure that the lab is maintained in a safe operating condition as per company safety policies.
