Alliance in Rapid City, SD is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Analyst I to support routine laboratory operations under supervision. You will prepare reagents and standards, set up instruments, and perform basic analyses while documenting results according to SOPs.

The role emphasizes developing foundational technical skills, maintaining instruments, tracking sample progress, and assisting senior analysts while adhering to safety protocols in a busy laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic standards and reagents following SOPs with minimal oversight.
• Set up and load instruments for routine analyses with guidance.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures under supervision.
• Conduct investigation tests with oversight as part of training and development.
• Complete laboratory documentation accurately and consistently.
• Track sample progress and ensure timely processing and reporting.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments with guidance.
• Support senior analysts and supervisors in daily lab operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Participate in training programs to build technical and quality system knowledge.
