Job summary

Eastman, a global specialty materials company, seeks a laboratory analyst to perform routine and non-routine testing using GC/MS, TOC, pH, ICP-OES, and Mercury analyses. The role operates under NELAP standards enforced by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, and Word; an AS in chemistry or BS in physical science is preferred, though not required. Strong time management is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.
• MS Office tools familiarity and strong time management are essential.
• A.S. in chemistry or BS in physical science preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques (GC/MS, GC/FID, TSS, TOC, pH, ICP-OES, Mercury).
• Login samples, maintain instruments, troubleshoot and calibrate, review results and prepare data validation packets.
• Report non-regulatory results to customers and ensure accuracy per NELAP standards as enforced by TCEQ.
