Job summary

Eastman Industrial Supply, Inc. is seeking a Lab Analyst in Texas to conduct routine and non-routine chemical analyses, including TSS, TOC, pH, ICP-OES, and mercury testing. The role includes instrument maintenance and data validation tasks within an NELAP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques (TSS, TOC, pH, ICP-OES, mercury).
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instruments as needed.
• Review test results, investigate failures, and prepare data validation packets.
• Report non-regulatory results to customers in a clear and timely manner.

Responsibilities

Analysts work under the direction of a Team Manager. The analyst is responsible for performing testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques including:

• TSS
• TOC
• pH testing
• ICP-OES
• Mercury testing

Analysts are also responsible for the following:

• Instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrations
• Reviewing test results, investigating failing results, and creating data validation packets
• Reporting non-regulatory results to customers

Work is conducted in an environment regulated by NELAP standards which are enforced by TCEQ.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma/GED
• Candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and strong time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates with an A.S. degree in chemistry or B.S. in physical science are preferred, but not required
