Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Ohio is seeking a Lab Analyst to lead QC activities in a night shift, on-site environment. You will perform testing on raw materials, in-process and finished goods, while documenting results and ensuring accuracy.

Collaboration across departments is essential to drive quality and efficiency. The role requires a BS in Chemistry or related field, sharp attention to detail, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, with overtime as needed.

• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC laboratory activities following SWP and SOP.
• Prepare testing solutions and conduct tests on materials.
• Document data in lab notebooks, SAP, and LIMS.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to report results.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of chemicals.
• Support investigations for customer complaints and discrepancies.

Full-time / On-site

Shift + Hours:

Night Shift - 6pm-6am (Rotating - 3 nights one week, 4 nights the next.)

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Lab Analyst you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

Performs all QC Lab activities, including but not limited to all Standard Work Process (SWP), Management System, and analytical responsibilities. Reports to the QC Leader.

In this role, you will:

• Provide internal and external customers with the highest level of customer service in responsiveness while performing QC activities.
• Interface with all corporate, commercial, supply chain, customer experience, and lab/operations personnel.
• Communicate between departments when reporting results and execute SWP / SOP in an exemplary manner.
• Perform all test methods without supervision within precision and accuracy standards.
• Prepare all solutions needed for testing.
• Perform testing on raw material, in-process, finished good, and
• Document all data in corresponding laboratory notebook, SAP, LIMS as
• Dispose of all chemicals safely
• Perform required testing pertaining to customer complaints, discrepancies,

& laboratory investigations.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related field.
• Experience in biology, chemistry, biochemistry testing techniques.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented.
• Possess strong PC skills including Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends.
• Willingness to work overtime, with or without advance notice.
• Ability to work as an integral part of a team.
• Possess strong analytical problem solving and mathematical skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Excellent reading skills with ability to comprehend analytical procedures and technical instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the 12hr. shift.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward

• Experience with lab instrumentation including GC, HPLC, FT-IR, UV-vis, Brookfield viscometers, and auto titrators.
• Experience or training in microbiological techniques.
