Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Previous laboratory aide experience preferred.
• Proficiency with LIS and basic testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Understand importance of specimen integrity across pre-analytical to post-analytical stages.
• Inspect, label, transport, and document samples accurately.
• Perform moderately complex testing and report results in the LIS.
• Dispense blood products to nursing staff with proper identification in LIS.
• Prepare microbiology samples and gram stains.
• Assist in training new staff and students.
• Acquire start-up, maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments; document QC.
