Job summary

ZURU is seeking a Business Operations Analyst for the LA team. This graduate-level role offers ownership from day one, with responsibilities spanning data-driven analysis, forecasting, and inventory management. You will build forecasts, optimise stock, and present insights to senior teams.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with SQL, data visualization, forecasting, and P&L analysis while engaging with Sales, Commercial and Operations leaders. This is an in-person role based in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (or nearing graduation) in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Mathematics or related field.
• Working knowledge of Excel and SQL, with familiarity across data visualisation, statistical analysis, Python and ETL practices.
• Strong commercial curiosity – you enjoy working out the “so what” behind the numbers, not just producing them.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to senior stakeholders and external customers.
• Sharp attention to detail and comfort working with large, imperfect datasets.
• A go-getter with energy, creativity and determination to continuously improve and push boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for retailer-level sales performance and proactive SKU management.
• Build weekly, monthly and seasonal forecasts that drive growth and manage excess inventory.
• Maximise POS performance through in-stock management and End of Selling Period inventory transition.
• Analyse and summarise item and brand performance, publishing findings and insights to the wider business.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports in response to business needs.
• Analyse product assortment and child-level performance to recommend the optimal product mix.
• Research, analyse and publish relevant industry and market trends.
• Build and maintain Profit and Loss statements - analysing revenue, cost and margin by product, brand, class and category to support informed recommendations.
