The Operations Manager acts as the Transdev operations liaison working with the client’s and Transdev employees, evaluating and interacting with vehicle drivers and their Operations team, including coaching, mentoring, disciplinary action, hiring, and termination as necessary. They are accountable for shift performance and compliance with processes, training, and system emergency responses. The Manager ensures coordination with other shifts, drives process improvements, and serves as an intermediary between the Senior Operations Manager and the shift Operations Supervisors.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation package of minimum $85,280 – maximum $99,840

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor (OS) to ensure efficient operation of the shift
- Drive special projects and programs completion assigned by the Senior Operations Manager (SOM)
- May be assigned to attend meetings with the client to represent SOM or other functional managers
- Communicate clearly with different stakeholders, both Transdev management and the client accordingly
- Support client’s operations leadership team in daily operations management of dispatch, including mission assignment, leading meetings, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other Operational Excellence initiatives
- Interpret metrics, find opportunities and implement actions to drive results
- Ensure compliance throughout the site to global process standards and work on continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform all vehicle driver safety evaluation ride checks, observe drivers while on route/test track, and prescribe the necessary retraining; manage and administer the performance‑based pay program for all subordinate employees; involve the SOM for managers’ evaluations
- Coordinate, monitor and supervise the activities of subordinates; inform other management personnel regarding operational/personnel problems as appropriate and offer ideas toward resolution
- Ensure daily operation processes are conducted as expected, including assignments, start‑of‑shift egress, out‑of‑office management, pre‑briefs and debriefs
- Respond to service problems including outages, rerouting, accidents and incidents to restore interrupted service and testing; support drivers in preparing accident reports including post‑accident drug and alcohol testing according to policy
- Interact with and assist passengers as necessary
- Investigate and respond to unsafe location/situation reports; make recommendations and/or changes to resolve the unsafe situation
- Develop and schedule program work plans in accordance with specifications in conjunction with client staff; oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of the program; determine priorities
- Maintain routine records and perform clerical work related to property operation
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality of all information
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams
- Preferred: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field; 2+ years of relevant experience desired; some supervisory experience required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of service area and ability to read a map/digital map directions
- Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules
- Ability to supervise others and make quality business decisions regarding operations
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Travel up to 20% of the time
- Must be on call and responsive for 24/7 operations
- Work flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights and/or holidays; standing and walking for up to 10 hours during shifts

- Use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Majority of work is indoors in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities
- May work in extreme heat and cold, and in damp environment with moderate noise
- Work occasionally in an office or cubicle space equipped with a computer
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 45 pounds
- Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
