Job summary

TRIDENT Security Solutions is seeking an L1 Security Specialist in Spokane, WA. The role focuses on safeguarding people and property, performing patrols, enforcing client policies, and reporting safety risks on site.

Veterans and former law enforcement are strongly encouraged to apply. You will respond to emergencies, complete incident reports, operate security technology, and cover open shifts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screen is required.
• Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard client properties and employees through regular patrols and a strong, visible security presence
• Identify, deter, and document suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, and criminal incidents
• Maintain high visibility to reduce policy violations and preserve a secure, orderly environment
• Provide exceptional customer service and engage every client and visitor with professionalism
• Address emergencies and critical situations with a calm, decisive, and effective response
• Complete detailed incident reports and all required documentation accurately and on time
• Utilize on-site security technology and two-way radio communication systems as required
• Fulfill open-shift, emergency coverage, and specialized assignment needs across multiple client locations
• Remain accessible by phone or computer and respond quickly to scheduling notifications and changes

About the Role:

The L1 Security Specialistsecures personnel and assets across an array of client locations. This role serves as an active deterrent to criminal behavior, enforces client policies on site, and identifies and reports potential safety risks as they develop. As a L1 Security Specialistyou are instrumental in maintaining safe, well-ordered environments while protecting everything clients value. Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
• Previous experience in a security capacity is beneficial
• Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Comfortable engaging professionally with people at all levels of an organization
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screen is required
• Basic computer skills are required
• Reliable, flexible, and capable of working a variety of shift types
• Able to stay composed and professional under challenging circumstances
