Job summary

Atrium Health's Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit seeks a part-time RN to join a 24-hour-per-week schedule (2 x 12-hour shifts, 7a–7p). The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience and is comfortable in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, documentation in EHR, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active RN license to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage in professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care with the nursing process.
• Monitor patients and adjust care plans; collaborate with the care team.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• Provide safe medication administration per protocols and procedures.
• Uphold a culture of safety and participate in patient-centered care across the care continuum.
• Possibly float to other units within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrate growth through education, certifications, and professional development.
