Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a full-time role. You will provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support families through the childbirth journey.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS/ACLS, experience in maternal health, and a commitment to patient safety and education. Onboarding includes licensure/certification support and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Experience in labor and delivery or maternal health setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; L&D certifications preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for laboring mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, and recognize signs of complications
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
• Educate patients and families on birth plans, pain management options, and postpartum care
• Document all care provided in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Participate in ongoing training, skills development, and policy updates relevant to L&D nursing
• Support a safe and positive environment for patients, families, and coworkers
