Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) travel nursing opportunity in Georgetown, Texas. This 13-week contract in a top-rated hospital unit includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Special Care Nursery settings.

• Location: Georgetown, TX (78626) – Texas nursing jobs
• Setting: LDRP – Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit Size: 23 beds (12 labor, 11 postpartum)
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2000

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications (required for L&D RN jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or Postpartum RN experience
• LDRP experience preferred (mother/baby, postpartum, OR circulator, well-baby nursery, NICU, or special care nursery)
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a collaborative LDRP environment
• Assist with procedures including cervical ripening, labor induction, MgSO4 and insulin drips, C-sections, tubal ligations, and cerclage removals
• Provide compassionate care for high-risk maternal patients and fetal demise cases
• Operate advanced clinical equipment: Alaris Pumps, Giraffe Warmers, GE Fetal Monitors, Monica wireless monitoring
• Document patient care in EMR systems (GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech)
• Maintain optimal patient ratios (1:2 labor, 1:3-4 couplets postpartum)
• Promote a positive unit culture and uphold high standards of clinical care
