Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team in the Delivery Room. The position requires a minimum of two years of L&D experience, with shift hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts are required. NRP certification must be completed within 90 days of employment, and ongoing neonatal certifications should be maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
• Neonatal certifications maintained during employment (e.g., High Risk Neonatal Nursing, Neonatal Transport, Lactation certification).
• RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care setting.
• Deliver care in the Labor & Delivery unit in line with ANA Standards of Professional Practice.
