Job summary

Lovelace Health System, Inc. is seeking a day shift, full-time Labor & Delivery Charge Registered Nurse in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on nursing leadership, patient flow, and collaboration with unit managers to maintain safety and quality of care.

Requirements include an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing, CPR, and NM nursing licensure (or NM compact) with 90-day transition. Preferred candidates may hold a Bachelor's in Nursing and certifications in specialty care, with a potential sign-on

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One year of Charge Nurse experience in hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Clinical specialty certification; National Certification in specialty care.

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
