Job summary

Citi in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a KYC Modernization Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex KYC initiatives. The role requires collaboration across Operations, Business, Technology, and Control functions to improve processes and drive AI-enabled enhancements.

You will guide scope, requirements, and execution activities, provide executive status updates, manage risks, and mentor team members in a matrixed environment to deliver measurable program outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in project and program management in financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders across levels.
  • Strong project and program management skills and experience building complex project plans.
  • Knowledge of Citi PM tools, including AI experience.
  • Understanding of CPMCG guidelines and internal relationships to drive common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison across Operations, Business, Technology, and Control functions to ensure a consistent operating model for KYC modernization.
  • Define scope, requirements, and execution activities with stakeholders; communicate schedules and milestones.
  • Provide executive status updates on progress, risks, and issues throughout the lifecycle.
  • Escalate program risks to Transformation PM lead or Sponsor when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of program metrics, data gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.

Job description

The KYC Modernization Project Manager is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to lead and manage complex KYC modernization initiatives, contributing to the development of new AI and process improvement techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within the KYC domain. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate across Operations, Business, Technology, and Control functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit) as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc., by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, and facilitating services to others in area of specialization.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside key stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and execution activities for KYC modernization projects, while clearly communicating the program schedule and key milestones.
  • Provide executive status updates on progress, risks, and issues throughout the lifecycle of the KYC Modernization program.
  • Escalate program risks to the Transformation Program Management lead, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program metrics, including data gathering, reporting, and trend analysis to monitor the health and progress of KYC modernization initiatives.
  • Support planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running the KYC modernization program or a portfolio of related programs.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate across Operations and Fraud Functions as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of Operations.
  • Assess creation and ensure sign-off of program plans and charters, benefits management plans, stakeholder management plans, acceptance plans, and central program issue logs for KYC modernization.
  • Oversee program plans to ensure they are meeting business needs as described in the program initiation documents, particularly for KYC modernization.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones for KYC modernization.
  • Work with the Program Sponsor to ensure KYC Operations action plans are in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure all areas of the program are appropriately staffed.
  • Monitor program commitment from those assigning resources.
  • Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Create and manage the program risk management plan.
  • Make recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel supporting KYC modernization.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards related to KYC processes and project management.
Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of experience in project and program management, particularly within the financial services industry, with a focus on large-scale initiatives such as KYC modernization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence business and technology stakeholders across levels within an organization.
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Experience building complex project plans.
  • Knowledge of PTS, JIRA, and other Citi Approved project management tools, including AI experience.
  • Knowledge of CPMC guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal relationships with broader stakeholders across a franchise in order to drive to common goals and outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of consumer financial services and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.

Salary Range: $113,840.00 - $170,760.00.
