Job summary

Rapport International is seeking qualified interpreters for in-person interpretation assignments in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. We need bilingual interpreters, particularly for Kurdish, to serve local medical facilities and clients.

• Fully bilingual with strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Excellent communication and listening abilities required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• Candidate must understand and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• We hire for in-person interpretation only and require reliable transportation.
• Ability to learn and use our online portal; printing and voucher uploads are part of the process.
• Must have access to a printer at home or otherwise.
• Interpreting experience and/or certification is preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens are required.

Responsibilities

As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
