Job summary
ZT Systems is seeking a Robotics Technician to join the Advanced Automation Infrastructure team in Secaucus, NJ. You will own KUKA robot health, perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and rapid recovery when issues occur, ensuring high production uptime.
Expect hands-on troubleshooting, spare strategy development, and collaboration with OEM field service and internal engineering to drive continuous improvements in automation availability.
Qualifications
- Trade school certification in a technical field is required.
- 6+ years of hands-on automated manufacturing experience.
- Strong ability to diagnose and fix complex robot faults across controllers and EOAT.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain KUKA robotic systems including calibration, maintenance, and recovery.
- Diagnose and resolve robot, EOAT, and cell faults to minimize downtime.
- Develop a critical spares strategy for rapid recovery of equipment.
- Collaborate with OEM field service and internal engineers on repairs and improvements.
- Maintain robot programs, configurations, and maintenance records.
- Provide backup support to automated controls and mechanical systems.
