Job summary

Cadre5 is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (on-premises K3s/RKE2, GKE, EKS) and to implement security hardening per CIS benchmarks. The role involves troubleshooting cluster issues, etcd health, DR capabilities, and coordinating with datacenter teams for infrastructure changes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of related experience and strong scripting ( Bash, Python, Go ), plus hands-on with GitOps tools (ArgoCD/Flux) and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (on-premises K3s/RKE2, GKE, and EKS).
• Troubleshoot cluster-level issues including control plane problems and resource constraints.
• Implement and maintain cluster security hardening based on CIS benchmarks and policies.
• Manage etcd cluster health, backup procedures, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Monitor cluster performance and optimize resource utilization across multi-tenant workloads.
